Pasta Ametriciana
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
1 cup penne pasta2-3 tbsp Olive Oil
6 rashers bacon diced
1 small or half a large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves Garlic (optional), finely sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
400g tin tomatoes
1 tsp oregano
Pinch sugar
Salt & pepper
Method:
1.Cook the pasta in salted water2.Fry the bacon in a little oil, add the onion and garlic and gently fry for 2-3 mins.
3.Once softened add the mushrooms and cook for 2 mins.
4.Add all the remaining ingredients and cook the sauce until the pasta is ready then toss the pasta in the sauce.
